Dear members,

A gradual resumption of economic activity will resume in Quebec in the coming weeks. Wishing to ensure a safe environment for your customers and employees, MTO has launched a very promising initiative in collaboration with the Alliance de l’industrie touristique du Québec.
Your Association Hôtellerie Québec participates in a working committee made up of the AITQ, ATS and the Conseil québécois des ressources humaines en tourisme (CQRHT) to develop health measures guides that will help businesses in several tourism sectors. Experts from the tourism network will support the committee in developing health measures adapted to the reality of our tourism businesses. By collaborating in this way, we will avoid having everyone working in silos. The pooling of our solutions can only be beneficial for our industry.
We will provide you with more information shortly. You will also find below a communication from the President and CEO of the Alliance de l’industrie touristique du Québec, Mr. Martin Soucy, concerning the Health Intervention Plan for the Tourism Industry.
I wish you a wonderful Saturday,
Xavier Gret
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Visit regularly.Dear partners,

From now on, in the pursuit of its activities, the tourism industry will have to demonstrate even more that it is capable of protecting its visitors, workers and suppliers from a health point of view. To this end, the industry must demonstrate that it acts responsibly and cohesively.

As a result, the Alliance is currently working with the entire network of associations (TTYs and TWAs) to develop a Health Response Plan for VIDOC-19. This plan will be adapted to the tourism industry and will include variations for each of its sectors. This plan, which is common to various components, will make it possible to acquire standards, procedures and validation tools that will cover all aspects related to health safety and thus gain the confidence of visitors.
The initiative is funded by the Ministry of Tourism and is led by the Conseil québécois en ressources humaines en tourisme (CQRHT) and the Alliance. The adaptation of the measures to each industry sector will be assumed by the network of sectoral tourism associations.
We are counting on you
Health safety is transforming the business models of all businesses, including tourism businesses. It is now essential to take ownership of the Health Plan that has been developed and to rigorously apply the measures contained therein. To this end, we are convinced that we will be able to count on each and every business and its workers to apply these measures.
We will keep you regularly informed of the evolution of this fundamental approach for the future of the industry. If you have any questions or require any information, please write to us at:
We will get through this crisis: we have the means, the creativity and the strength, all together!
Martin Soucy
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
